Midweek Mercy: Strength for the Journey
Blessings to you, beloved friends!
It’s Wednesday—a day that reminds us we’re halfway through the week and God is still right beside us. Maybe you feel strong and accomplished. Or maybe you feel worn down and weary. No matter how your week has gone so far, God's grace is enough for today.
He doesn’t require perfection—just your heart, your willingness, your surrender.
✝️ Verse of the Day“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”— Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
If you feel tired, give your weakness to Him.If you feel stuck, trust His timing. If you feel alone, remember: He sees you, He loves you, and He is lifting you.
On This Day in History – August 6
1945 – The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Today, we remember the tragic cost of war and pray for peace around the world.
1965 – President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act into law, a powerful reminder that God values justice and truth.
National Days – August 6
National Fresh Breath Day – A lighthearted reminder to speak words that refresh and not tear down. Speak life today!
National Root Beer Float Day – Take a moment to enjoy something sweet. Even the smallest joys are gifts from a loving Father.
Wednesday Reflection: Strength in the Waiting
Waiting isn’t wasting—it’s preparation.Waiting teaches us patience, endurance, and trust.
God isn’t late. He’s precise. He’s preparing you for what you can’t yet see.
So keep walking. Keep trusting. Keep hoping.
You’re not running on empty—you’re running on grace.
Wednesday Prayer:Lord, I thank You for this day. I surrender my pace and my plans to You. Renew my strength where I am weak, give me courage where I feel fear, and fill my heart with hope as I trust in Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Challenge:Encourage someone who looks weary.A kind word, a Scripture text, or a short prayer can be the wind beneath their wings.
This Wednesday is not just the middle of your week—it’s the middle of God’s masterpiece in progress. You are seen. You are held. You are being strengthened.
With love and renewed hope,Sarah M. SkaggsAgape Love Ministry"Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength."
