Good morning, beloved!
As we step into this Wednesday, many of us find ourselves in the middle of a busy week—work, family, responsibilities, and unexpected challenges all pressing in. Yet even here, in the rush and demands of life, God offers us peace that surpasses all understanding.
✝️ Verse of the Day“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”— John 14:27 (KJV)
The world offers temporary calm, but Jesus offers eternal peace.
His peace doesn’t depend on circumstances—it flows from His presence.
On This Day in History – September 3
1783 – The Treaty of Paris was signed, officially ending the American Revolutionary War. Peace, hard-won, is always worth seeking.
1967 – Sweden switched from driving on the left-hand side of the road to the right, a reminder that change is part of growth and adaptation.
National Days – September 3
National Skyscraper Day – Celebrate creativity and human innovation, remembering that unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain (Psalm 127:1).
National Welsh Rarebit Day – A fun day to enjoy a unique and comforting dish.
Wednesday Reflection: Peace That Lasts
Peace is not found in finishing the to-do list but in trusting the Lord with it. Jesus offers peace not to remove the storm but to calm our hearts in the middle of it.
True peace comes when we place our confidence in Him, not in ourselves.
Wednesday Prayer:Lord, thank You for the peace only You can give. Quiet my anxious heart and steady my spirit today. Help me to walk in trust, not fear, and to carry Your peace into every situation I face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Challenge:Take a five-minute break today just to breathe, pray, and invite God’s peace into your heart.
May your Wednesday be filled with calm assurance, steady faith, and the unshakable peace of Christ.
With peace and love,Sarah M. SkaggsAgape Love Ministry“The world gives temporary calm—Jesus gives everlasting peace.”
