# ☀️ Good Tuesday Morning, Friends!
Good morning!
I hope you're waking up today knowing that **God isn't finished with your story.**
Maybe somebody needs to hear that this morning.
Because sometimes when we talk about discovering our calling, we begin thinking about all the reasons God **couldn't possibly use us.**
We remember mistakes.
Wrong decisions.
Broken relationships.
Years we wish we could redo.
Opportunities we missed.
Things we've said.
Things we've done.
Pain we've endured.
Maybe even seasons when we wandered far away from God.
And the enemy loves to whisper:
**"After everything you've done, how could God possibly use you?"**
But when I read my Bible, I see something completely different.
I see a God who specializes in **redemption.**
A God who takes broken things and makes them beautiful.
A God who takes painful chapters and turns them into testimonies.
A God who takes people others have written off and says:
## **"I'm not finished with you yet."**

# 📖 Today's Bible Reading
## Romans 8:28–31 (KJV)
> *"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."*
Notice that Scripture doesn't say **all things are good.**
Some things hurt.
Some things break our hearts.
Some things happen because of choices we made.
Other things happen that we never chose and never deserved.
But God can take **all things** and work through them.
That means your worst chapter doesn't have to become the final chapter.
God can redeem it.
He can teach through it.
He can strengthen you through it.
And He can use what you've survived to help somebody else survive too.

# 🌿 Look Who God Used
Think about some of the people God used throughout Scripture.
### Moses
Moses killed an Egyptian and fled into the wilderness.
Yet God later called him to lead Israel out of Egypt.
### David
David committed terrible sins and experienced painful consequences.
Yet when he repented, God continued working in his life.
### Peter
Peter boldly promised Jesus he would never deny Him.
Then he denied Jesus **three times.**
Yet Jesus restored Peter and used him powerfully in the early church.
### Paul
Paul persecuted Christians.
Then Jesus transformed his life, and Paul became one of the most influential servants of Christ in history.
Their stories don't excuse sin.
Their stories demonstrate the incredible power of **repentance, forgiveness, grace, and restoration.**
---
# 💜 Somebody Needs This Today
You are more than the worst thing you've ever done.
You are more than the worst thing that's ever happened to you.
Your identity doesn't have to remain chained to yesterday.
If you've repented and placed your life in Christ's hands, stop continually returning to a prison whose door Jesus already opened.
> **"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."**
> **— John 8:36 (KJV)**
Learn from yesterday.
Make things right where you can.
Ask forgiveness when needed.
Forgive others.
Grow.
Then keep walking with Jesus.

# 🧠 Today's Bible Trivia
### Before becoming the Apostle Paul, what was Paul commonly called?
**A.** Silas
**B.** Saul
**C.** Simon
**D.** Stephen
📖 **Scripture:** Acts 9 & Acts 13:9
### ✅ Yesterday's Answer
**B. Abraham**
Abraham obeyed God and left his homeland without knowing every detail of where God was leading him.
His story reminds us of yesterday's message:
**Sometimes faith means taking the next step before you can see the entire road.**

# 🇺🇸 Heritage & Legacy
## **Your Story Becomes Part of Their Story**
When we think about heritage, we often think about the successes of previous generations.
But families also inherit stories of perseverance.
Stories like:
*"Grandma went through a difficult season, but she never stopped praying."*
*"Grandpa made mistakes when he was young, but God completely changed his life."*
*"Mom went through heartbreak, but she used it to help other people."*
*"Dad struggled, but he kept trusting God."*
Those stories matter.
Our children and grandchildren don't need to believe we were perfect.
They need to know **God was faithful.**
Tell them what He brought you through.
Tell them about prayers He answered.
Tell them where you made mistakes and what God taught you.
Let your testimony become part of your family's heritage.
> **"Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul."**
> **— Psalm 66:16 (KJV)**

# 📜 Today in History
## **August 11, 1934 — The First Federal Prisoners Arrived at Alcatraz**
On August 11, 1934, the first group of federal prisoners arrived at the newly established federal penitentiary on **Alcatraz Island**.
Alcatraz would eventually become one of America's most famous prisons.
That piece of history gives us an interesting picture for today's spiritual message.
Sometimes people live inside prisons that don't have bars.
**Regret.**
**Shame.**
**Bitterness.**
**Fear.**
**Unforgiveness.**
**Yesterday.**
But Jesus came to bring freedom.
You don't have to spend another year imprisoned by something God wants you to surrender.

# 🎉 Today's Holidays & Fun Observances
Today gives us a few fun things to celebrate!
## 👨👩👧 National Son and Daughter Day
What a beautiful reminder to appreciate the children God has placed in our lives.
Whether they're little ones running around the house or adults raising families of their own, take a moment today to tell them:
**"I love you. I'm proud of you. I'm thankful God gave you to me."**
## 🏔️ Mountain Day
Observed especially in Japan, Mountain Day celebrates and appreciates mountains and nature.
Mountains also hold powerful meaning throughout Scripture.
Sometimes we're standing on the mountaintop.
Sometimes we're walking through the valley.
But God is present in both.
> **"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help."**
> **— Psalm 121:1 (KJV)**
## 🥧 National Raspberry Bombe Day
And because every daily magazine needs something fun—today gives dessert lovers an excuse to enjoy a cool raspberry treat during these hot August days! 😊

# 🌻 Today's Inspiration
## **God Can Use the Chapter You Wanted to Tear Out**
If I could sit across the table from someone struggling with their past today, I would tell them:
Don't throw away your story.
Give it to God.
That chapter you hate?
God may use it.
That valley you survived?
God may send someone into your life who desperately needs to hear how you made it through.
That mistake you learned from?
Your wisdom may prevent someone else from making the same one.
That grief you've carried?
Your compassion may someday become shelter for another broken heart.
God doesn't waste surrendered pain.
He can turn scars into testimony.

# 🌸 Beauty From Ashes
One of my favorite promises comes from Isaiah:
> **"...to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness..."**
> **— Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)**
Notice something.
God doesn't pretend there were never ashes.
He creates **beauty from them.**
He doesn't erase every scar.
Sometimes He uses those scars to show someone else:
**"Healing is possible."**
Your testimony doesn't say:
*"Look how strong I am."*
Your testimony says:
## **"Look how faithful God has been."**

# 💜 5 Truths to Carry Today
🌿 **Your past can teach you without controlling you.**
🙏 **Repentance opens the door to restoration.**
❤️ **God's grace is greater than your greatest failure.**
📖 **Your testimony can help someone else find hope.**
✨ **God is still writing your story.**
Don't put a period where God has placed a comma.

# 🙏 Today's Prayer
**Heavenly Father,**
Thank You for being the God of second chances, restoration, forgiveness, and grace.
Thank You that our failures don't surprise You and our painful seasons don't prevent You from working in our lives.
Lord, help us learn from yesterday without becoming trapped there.
Where repentance is needed, give us humility to repent.
Where forgiveness is needed, help us forgive.
Where relationships can be restored, give us wisdom.
Where something must be released, give us courage to let it go.
Today I pray for the person carrying shame.
Remind them of Your grace.
For the person grieving something they cannot change...
Give them peace.
For the person who thinks they've wasted too many years...
Show them that You can still use the years ahead.
For the brokenhearted...
Bring comfort.
For the sick...
Bring healing.
For families struggling...
Bring restoration.
For those searching for their calling...
Help them understand that even the difficult chapters of their story can become part of how they minister to others.
Take our lives, Lord—all of them.
The victories.
The failures.
The tears.
The lessons.
The scars.
The testimonies.
Use everything for Your glory.
In Jesus' precious name,
**Amen.**

# 💜 Community Corner
Let's encourage one another today!
🧠 **Bible Trivia:** What was the Apostle Paul commonly called before his ministry as Paul?
🙏 **Prayer Requests:** What can we pray with you about today?
❤️ **Question of the Day:** Has God ever taken a difficult season from your past and used it to help someone else?
🌻 **Today's Challenge:** Encourage someone who may feel like their past has disqualified them.
Remind them:
**God isn't finished yet.**
---
# 🌿 Discovering Your God-Given Calling
As you continue seeking God's purpose for your life, remember:
Your calling isn't built only from your talents.
God may also use your **testimony.**
The valley taught you something.
The heartbreak taught you something.
The failure taught you something.
The healing taught you something.
The restoration taught you something.
Now God may place someone in your path who needs what you've learned.
Don't be ashamed of the testimony God has redeemed.
Use it to point someone toward Jesus.

Thank you for spending part of your Tuesday with me.
If yesterday still hurts, give it to Jesus.
If you made mistakes, learn from them.
If you've fallen, get back up.
And if God has forgiven you...
**Stop allowing yesterday to convince you that tomorrow doesn't have purpose.**
Because the same God who brought you this far is still writing your story.
And friend...
