New Seasons, New Beginnings, Same Faithful God
"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established."— Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)
There is something refreshing about a new beginning.
Whether it's the start of a new week, a new season, or a new chapter in life, each fresh start reminds us that God is continually at work. He is always preparing us, growing us, and leading us exactly where He wants us to be.
Today marks a new beginning for me.
After taking some much-needed time away last week, today is my first full day back in the swing of things, and I couldn't be more thankful.
My husband, Tim, and I spent our vacation camping, boating, exploring beautiful places, and simply enjoying God's incredible creation. Sometimes we become so busy with life's responsibilities that we forget to slow down and appreciate the simple blessings surrounding us every day.
One of my favorite parts of the week was spending time with my sweet friend Kathy. Together, we visited several sales and discovered some amazing treasures that we can't wait to share with everyone at Agape Love Boutique. There is something so much fun about finding that hidden gem and imagining the smile it will bring to someone else's face.
Today also marks another exciting milestone in my professional life.
Today is my first day in my new role at TDS, and I would truly appreciate your prayers as I begin this new chapter. Change can be exciting, but it also comes with new responsibilities, opportunities, and challenges. I am looking forward to learning, growing, and seeing where God leads me in this new position.
Through all of these changes, one truth continues to stand firm:
God never changes.
His faithfulness remains constant through every season.
Whether we're enjoying a peaceful vacation by the lake, beginning a new job, running a business, serving in ministry, or simply navigating everyday life, He is always with us.
I also have to smile as I write this because here in North Carolina, summer has certainly made its presence known! We've had several days with temperatures climbing well into the triple digits. If you're experiencing this heat too, please stay hydrated, take breaks when you need them, and check on your family, friends, and neighbors.
And can I just say... thank goodness for the person who invented air conditioning! 😊
As much as we sometimes complain about the heat, summer has a way of reminding us to slow down, spend time with the people we love, and appreciate the beauty of God's creation.
Whether it's sitting around a campfire, watching a sunset over the water, laughing with friends while hunting for treasures, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of coffee on the porch, these moments become some of life's greatest blessings.
As I begin this new week and this new season, my prayer is that I never become so busy pursuing the next thing that I forget to thank God for the blessings He has already given me.
A Little About Me
For those who may be new here, welcome!
My name is Sarah Skaggs, and I'm just a simple country girl who was born and raised in Ohio but now proudly calls North Carolina home.
I'm a wife, a mom, a MawMaw, a minister, an author, a grief counselor, a business owner, and I recently completed my Bachelor of Arts in Business. I also work full-time at TDS, where I have the privilege of serving in a new leadership role.
More than any title I could ever hold, my greatest desire is simply to love Jesus, encourage others, and point people toward the hope that is found in Him.
Through Agape Love Daily, Come As You Are Bible Fellowship, and Agape Love Boutique, my prayer is that every post, every conversation, and every prayer reminds someone that they are deeply loved by God—and that no matter what season they are walking through, they never have to walk it alone.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your day. Whether you've been following along for years or this is your very first visit, I am grateful you're here.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for new beginnings and for the opportunities You place before us.
Thank You for times of rest, for family, for friends, and for the simple joys that remind us of Your goodness.
As we each step into a new week, help us to trust You with every challenge, every opportunity, and every unknown. Guide our steps, strengthen our faith, and help us to be a light in a world that so desperately needs hope.
Bless each person reading this today. Refresh those who are weary, comfort those who are hurting, and remind each of us that Your love never fails.
May everything we do bring honor and glory to You.
In Jesus' precious name,
Amen.
Thank you for spending a few moments with me today.
I pray your week is filled with peace, joy, and unexpected blessings.
And remember...
God is still writing your story, and His plans are always worth trusting.
With love in Christ,
Sarah Skaggs 💜Agape Love Daily • Come As You Are Bible Fellowship
