"God Never Wastes Our Tears"

Scripture (KJV)

"Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?"— Psalm 56:8

🌿 Devotional Thought

Have you ever cried so many tears that you wondered if anyone truly noticed?

Perhaps they came quietly in the middle of the night.

Perhaps they came while looking through old photographs.

Perhaps they came when you heard a favorite song or caught the familiar scent of someone you dearly love.

Sometimes grief speaks through tears when words simply cannot.

The beautiful truth found in Psalm 56 is that God notices every single one of them.

David wrote that God collects our tears in His bottle.

What an incredible picture of God's love.

Not one tear escapes His attention.

Not one moment of heartache is overlooked.

Not one prayer whispered through sobs goes unheard.

While others may not fully understand the depth of your sorrow, your Heavenly Father does.

He knows the tears you cry because of an empty chair at the table.

He knows the ache of birthdays celebrated without your loved one.

He knows the quiet loneliness that can settle into your heart when the world around you keeps moving forward.

And He doesn't simply observe your pain—

He enters into it with you.

God's comfort doesn't always remove the sadness immediately, but it gives us the strength to continue.

His peace doesn't erase the memories; it gently wraps around them with hope.

His love reminds us that grief is not evidence that God has abandoned us.

It is often where we experience His presence most deeply.

So if tears come today, don't apologize for them.

Offer them to the Lord.

Let every tear become a silent prayer.

Trust that the God who treasures your tears is also healing your heart, one day at a time.

One day, in His glorious presence, every bottle of tears will be emptied forever, and every sorrow will be replaced with everlasting joy.

Until then, you are safely held in His loving hands.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving us so completely that You see every tear we cry. Thank You for never turning away from our pain and for walking beside us through every season of grief. When our hearts feel heavy, remind us that You are near, collecting every tear and surrounding us with Your perfect peace. Strengthen us today, renew our hope, and help us trust that You are bringing beauty from even our deepest sorrow.
