💜 Agape Love Daily Grief Support Devotional 💜Tuesday, August 18, 2026"You Are Stronger Than You Think"

"You Are Stronger Than You Think"

📖 Scripture (KJV)

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles." — Isaiah 40:31

🌿 Devotional Thought

Grief has a way of convincing us that we are weaker than we really are.

We focus on the tears.

The difficult days.

The sleepless nights.

The moments when our hearts feel overwhelmed.

And sometimes we forget to look at how far we've already come.

Friend, if you're reading this today, take a moment and think about everything you've endured.

You've faced days you never thought you could survive.

You've carried burdens that seemed impossible.

You've experienced heartache that changed your life forever.

And yet, here you are.

You're still standing.

Not because the journey has been easy.

Not because the pain has disappeared.

But because God has been faithfully carrying you every step of the way.

Isaiah reminds us that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength.

Notice that God doesn't promise a life without struggles.

He promises renewed strength for the journey.

Perhaps today you don't feel strong.

Perhaps you're exhausted.

Perhaps the grief feels especially heavy.

That's okay.

Strength isn't the absence of tears.

Strength isn't pretending everything is fine.

True strength is continuing to trust God when your heart is hurting.

It's choosing to pray when you don't know what to say.

It's choosing to keep moving forward, even when the path feels uncertain.

It's believing that God's promises are still true, even when life doesn't make sense.

Today, I want to encourage you to stop focusing on everything you think you've lost and begin recognizing the strength God has already placed within you.

You are stronger than you realize.

You are more resilient than you know.

And you are never facing this journey alone.

The same God who carried you through yesterday will provide the strength you need for today.

And tomorrow, His mercies will be new once again.

💜 A Gentle Reminder

Your loved one's story didn't end because they left this earth.

Their kindness still lives in your memories.

Their love still lives in your heart.

Their influence continues through the life you are living today.

Honor them by continuing to love.

Honor them by continuing to serve.

Honor them by continuing to trust God.

Love never truly disappears.

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being our strength when we feel weak.

Thank You for carrying us through the difficult days and reminding us that we never walk alone.

Renew every weary heart today.

Strengthen those who are struggling.

Comfort those who are missing someone they love.

Help us trust You one day at a time and remind us that Your grace is always sufficient.

Thank You for the memories we cherish and for the hope we have through Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' precious Name,

Amen.

🌸 Reflection for Today

Take a few moments today and answer this question:

How has God strengthened me during my grief journey?

Write down three ways God has carried you.

Perhaps He sent a friend.

Perhaps He gave you peace through His Word.

Perhaps He simply gave you the strength to get through another day.

Every blessing is evidence of His faithfulness.

🤍 Need Prayer?

If you would like someone to pray with you or for you, we would be honored to stand beside you in prayer.

You are loved.

You are remembered.

And you never walk this journey alone.

💜 Agape Love Reminder

You are stronger than you think because God is stronger than anything you face. The tears may still come, and the journey may still be difficult, but His grace is carrying you. Hold tightly to His promises, treasure the memories of those you love, and remember that every step forward is evidence of His faithfulness. One day, every sorrow will give way to everlasting joy in the presence of our Savior. 🌿💜🕊️
