"Strength for a New Week"

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee." — Isaiah 41:10

🌿 Devotional Thought

A new week has begun.

For many people, Monday represents a fresh start filled with new opportunities and new plans.

But for someone who is grieving, a new week can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Perhaps you're facing another week without the person you love.

Another week of missing their voice.

Another week of learning how to navigate life after loss.

Friend, if your heart feels heavy today, remember this:

You don't have to carry this week alone.

God isn't asking you to have enough strength for the next seven days.

He's simply asking you to trust Him with today.

Isaiah 41:10 is one of the most comforting promises found in Scripture.

God doesn't simply tell us not to be afraid.

He gives us a reason.

"I am with thee."

What a beautiful reminder.

The same God who carried you through yesterday is already walking beside you today.

He knows the burdens you're carrying.

He understands the tears that still come unexpectedly.

He sees the empty places in your heart.

And He promises to strengthen you.

Some weeks will be more difficult than others.

There may be anniversaries.

Special dates.

Family gatherings.

Moments that remind you of someone you miss dearly.

But difficult days do not mean you are walking backward.

They simply remind you that love still lives within your heart.

As you begin this new week, don't focus on everything waiting for you tomorrow.

Instead, take one step.

Pray one prayer.

Read one scripture.

Share one memory.

Offer one act of kindness.

And trust God to provide the strength you need for the next step.

Before you know it, another week will be behind you, and once again you'll be able to say:

"God carried me through."

Today, I want to encourage you to speak the name of someone you love.

Tell a story about them.

Share a favorite photograph.

Cook a favorite meal.

Keep their memory alive.

The people we love deserve to be remembered.

Their stories matter.

And so do yours.

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your promise to strengthen us when we feel weak.

As we begin this new week, help us place every burden into Your loving hands.

Comfort every grieving heart.

Bring peace to those who are struggling.

Surround us with Your presence and remind us that we are never alone.

Thank You for the memories we cherish and for the hope we have through Jesus Christ.

Give us strength for today and faith for tomorrow.

In Jesus' precious Name,

Amen.
