"The Love We Carry Becomes Their Legacy"

"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." — 1 Corinthians 13:13

🌿 Devotional Thought

When someone we love leaves this world, we often wonder how we can continue honoring their memory.

Should we keep their belongings?

Should we continue their traditions?

Should we talk about them more?

The answer may be much simpler than we realize.

One of the most beautiful ways to honor those we love is to continue sharing the love they gave us.

Did they teach you kindness?

Be kind.

Did they encourage others?

Offer encouragement.

Did they enjoy helping people?

Find someone who needs a helping hand.

Did they make everyone around them laugh?

Share joy with someone today.

The greatest legacies are not built from possessions. They are built through love.

The memories you treasure have helped shape the person you are today.

Their influence is still present in your life.

Their lessons still matter.

Their love still lives within your heart.

Grief often causes us to focus on what we've lost, but today I want to encourage you to focus on what remains.

Love remains.

Faith remains.

Hope remains.

And God remains.

Perhaps today would be a wonderful day to share a favorite story about your loved one.

Tell someone about the difference they made in your life.

Speak their name.

Celebrate their life.

And thank God for the blessing of having known them.

The people we love never stop influencing us.

Their legacy continues through every act of love we choose to share.

And one day, through Jesus Christ, we will see them again.

Until then, let love continue to be their lasting legacy.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for every person You have placed in our lives. Thank You for the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love we continue to carry in our hearts.

Help us honor those we miss by living lives filled with compassion, kindness, and grace. Remind us that love never truly disappears because You are the source of all love.

When grief feels overwhelming, strengthen our hearts and renew our hope.

Thank You for Your promise of eternal life and for the assurance that one day we will be reunited with those we love.
