💜 Agape Love Daily Grief Support Devotional 💜🌿 June 2, 2026“One Step Is Enough”

📖 Scripture (KJV)

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”— Psalm 119:105

🌿 Devotional Thought

One of the most difficult things about grief is wanting to see the entire road ahead.

We want to know when the pain will ease.

We want to know when our hearts will feel lighter.

We want to know how we will navigate all the days, months, and years ahead without the person we love.

But God rarely shows us the entire path.

Instead, He gives us enough light for the next step.

Psalm 119:105 does not say God's Word is a spotlight that illuminates the entire journey.

It says it is a lamp unto our feet.

A lamp shines just enough light to take the next step safely.

And sometimes, that's exactly what we need.

Grief can feel overwhelming when we focus on the whole journey.

But healing often happens one small step at a time.

One prayer.

One breath.

One day.

One act of courage.

One moment of trusting God.

You may not know what tomorrow holds.

But you do not need tomorrow's strength today.

God will provide that when tomorrow comes.

Today, He is simply asking you to trust Him with the next step.

The next conversation.

The next tear.

The next memory.

The next moment.

And as you continue taking those small steps, you will discover something beautiful:

God has been guiding you all along.

Lord,

Sometimes the journey of grief feels so much bigger than we can handle. Help us stop worrying about the entire road ahead and trust You for the next step. Thank You for being our light in the darkness and our guide through every season. Give us courage, peace, and strength for today.
