"Hope Still Lives"

Scripture (KJV)

"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God."— Psalm 42:11

Devotional Thought

Grief has a way of making the future seem uncertain.

There are days when hope feels distant.

Days when sorrow seems louder than joy.

Days when you wonder if your heart will ever feel light again.

If you've had those thoughts, you are not alone.

Even the psalmist asked,

"Why art thou cast down, O my soul?"

But he did not stop there.

He reminded himself:

"Hope thou in God."

Friend, grief may have changed your life, but it has not changed God's promises.

The pain you feel today is real.

The tears you cry are understood.

But sorrow does not have the final word.

God does.

And because He does, hope still lives.

Hope that tomorrow can hold peace.

Hope that healing is possible.

Hope that joy can return.

Hope that one day every tear will be wiped away.

You may not feel strong today.

You may not see all the answers.

But you do not have to.

You simply need to place your hope in the One who holds your future.

Because the God who has carried you this far is still writing your story.

And He specializes in bringing hope to hurting hearts.

Prayer

Lord,

Thank You that no matter how dark the days may seem, hope is never lost when our hope is found in You. Strengthen our hearts when we grow weary. Help us trust Your promises and remind us that brighter days are ahead because You are faithful.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
