📖 Scripture (KJV)

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”— Isaiah 40:31

🌿 Devotional Thought

Grief has a way of making us feel weak.

There are days when simply getting out of bed feels like a victory.

Days when the weight of missing someone you love seems heavier than words can describe.

Days when you wonder if you have the strength to keep moving forward.

But today, God wants to remind you of something important:

You are stronger than you realize.

Not because of your own power.

Not because you have all the answers.

Not because you never cry or struggle.

You are strong because God has been carrying you all along.

Think about where you were when your loss first occurred.

Remember those moments when you wondered how you would survive the next hour, the next day, or the next week.

Yet here you are.

Still standing.

Still trusting.

Still moving forward.

That doesn't mean the pain is gone.

It means God's grace has been greater than the pain.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that those who wait upon the Lord will find renewed strength.

Not borrowed strength.

Not temporary strength.

Renewed strength.

The kind of strength that comes from God's presence.

The kind that quietly carries you through difficult days.

The kind that allows hope to grow even while healing is still taking place.

So today, if grief feels heavy, remember:

You have already survived difficult days before.

And the same God who carried you then is carrying you now.

Lord,

When grief makes us feel weak, remind us that our strength comes from You. Thank You for carrying us through every difficult moment and for renewing our hearts when we grow weary. Help us trust Your faithfulness and lean on Your strength today.
