# 🍑🔥 **Southern Peach Glazed Pork Chops with Bacon & Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes** 🔥🥓
**Good morning, folks! 🤠**
We're right in the heart of peach season, so today we're bringing a little summertime sweetness to the chuckwagon!
These **Southern Peach Glazed Pork Chops** are pan-seared until beautifully golden, then finished in a sticky homemade glaze made with peach preserves, honey, garlic, and just a little smoky seasoning.
And we're serving them alongside **Bacon & Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes** because, well... if we're cooking country food, we might as well do it right! 😋
Sweet, smoky, savory, and made in one skillet—this is Tuesday supper done right.
## 🍑🥩 **What You'll Need**
### For the Pork Chops
* 4 thick-cut bone-in pork chops
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* ½ teaspoon onion powder
* ½ teaspoon black pepper
* Salt to taste
* 2 tablespoons butter
### 🍑 For the Peach Glaze
* ¾ cup peach preserves
* 2 tablespoons honey
* 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
* 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
* 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
* Pinch of red pepper flakes, optional
### 🍠 For the Bacon & Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes
* 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
* 5 slices bacon, chopped
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
* 2 tablespoons butter
* ½ teaspoon cinnamon
* ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
* Pinch of salt
## 🔥 **Let's Get Cooking!**
**1️⃣ Start those sweet potatoes.** Cook the chopped bacon in a large cast-iron skillet until crisp. Remove the bacon, leaving about 1 tablespoon of drippings behind.
**2️⃣ Add the sweet potatoes.** Cook over medium heat for about **12–15 minutes**, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften and brown.
Add the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt. Cook another 5 minutes until caramelized. Stir the bacon back in and set aside.
**3️⃣ Season the chops.** Sprinkle both sides with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
**4️⃣ Get that skillet hot!** Add the olive oil and sear the pork chops for about **3–4 minutes per side** until beautifully golden.
**5️⃣ Make the peach glaze.** Combine the peach preserves, honey, vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, smoked paprika, and optional pepper flakes.
**6️⃣ Pour the glaze over the pork chops.** Reduce the heat and allow everything to gently simmer until the chops reach **145°F internally**.
**7️⃣ Add 2 tablespoons of butter during the last couple of minutes and spoon that glossy peach sauce over the chops.**
Let the pork rest for about **5 minutes** before serving.
## 🍑 ⭐ **MawMaw's Kitchen Tip**
If you've got fresh peaches, slice one and toss the wedges right into the skillet during the last few minutes of cooking.
Let them caramelize in that peach glaze and serve them over the pork chops. **Oh my goodness!** 🍑❤️
You can also put these chops on the grill and brush them with the peach glaze during the final few minutes for an extra smoky summertime flavor.
## 🥄 **Serve It Up With**
I'd make a whole country supper out of this one with **bacon brown sugar sweet potatoes, fresh green beans, sliced garden tomatoes, warm yeast rolls with honey butter, and a tall glass of sweet tea.**
And since we're already celebrating peaches...
🍑 **Peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert!**
## 💜 **Chuckwagon Encouragement**
Sometimes we spend so much time looking ahead that we forget to enjoy what God has placed in front of us today.
We're waiting for Friday.
Waiting for vacation.
Waiting for things to get easier.
Waiting for the next blessing.
But **today is a blessing too.**
There is something worth thanking God for right where you are. Maybe it's the people sitting around your table. Maybe it's food in the kitchen, a friend who called, another sunrise, or simply the strength God gave you to get up and keep going.
Don't miss today's blessings while waiting for tomorrow's.
## 📖 **Scripture for Today**
**"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."**
— **1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)**
