🌿 Discovering Your God-Given Calling

When God Says, "Be Still"

"Be still, and know that I am God."— Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

☀️ Good Friday Morning, Friends!

Happy Friday!

We've reached the end of another week, and perhaps that's the perfect time to pause and reflect.

Life moves quickly.

Our schedules fill up.

Responsibilities compete for our attention.

Our minds become crowded with worries, decisions, deadlines, and unanswered questions.

And if we're not careful, we can become so busy doing that we forget the importance of simply being.

Today's message is for anyone who feels tired.

For anyone carrying a heavy burden.

For anyone waiting for answers.

For anyone wondering what comes next.

God's message today is beautifully simple:

"Be still."

Not because He wants us to stop living.

Not because He wants us to stop serving.

But because sometimes our hearts become so noisy that we can no longer hear His voice.

📖 Today's Bible Reading

Psalm 46:1–10 (KJV)

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
"Be still, and know that I am God."

What a wonderful promise.

Notice that God doesn't say:

"Be still after your problems disappear."

"Be still after you have all the answers."

"Be still after your circumstances improve."

He says:

Be still now.

Right in the middle of uncertainty.

Right in the middle of life's storms.

Because peace isn't found in perfect circumstances.

Peace is found in the presence of God.

🌿 Discovering Your Calling

Sometimes we believe we're supposed to be moving forward every moment of every day.

But there are seasons when God's assignment isn't to run.

It's to rest.

There are seasons for planting.

Seasons for harvesting.

Seasons for speaking.

And seasons for listening.

If God is asking you to slow down, don't confuse stillness with inactivity.

God often does some of His greatest work during our quietest seasons.

🧠 Today's Bible Trivia

🇺🇸 Heritage & Legacy

Preserving What Truly Matters

Heritage isn't only found in old photographs, treasured recipes, and family stories.

Heritage is also found in the values we intentionally preserve.

Faith.

Compassion.

Integrity.

Kindness.

Service.

Prayer.

These are the treasures worth passing from one generation to the next.

"The memory of the just is blessed."— Proverbs 10:7 (KJV)

May our lives leave behind a testimony of God's faithfulness.

📜 Today in History

August 14, 1945 — Victory Over Japan Day

On this day in 1945, celebrations erupted as World War II came to an end.

For many families, it was a day filled with relief, gratitude, and hope for peace.

Today, let's remember those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who gave their lives for future generations.

And let's also pray for peace in our homes, our communities, and our world.

🌻 Inspiration for Today

The world tells us to hurry.

God often tells us to trust.

The world tells us to keep pushing.

God sometimes says:

"Rest."

The world tells us to chase success.

God reminds us to seek His presence.

Don't confuse activity with productivity.

Don't confuse busyness with purpose.

And don't confuse waiting with failure.

God is still working, even when you can't see it.
