Welcome to a brand-new month and a brand-new journey together!

There is something exciting about turning the calendar to a fresh page. A new month reminds us that God is always giving us opportunities to begin again, grow deeper in our faith, and step confidently into the plans He has prepared for us.

Throughout the month of August, we'll be exploring a special theme:

🌿 Discovering Your God-Given Calling

Many people spend their lives asking questions like:

• Why am I here?

• What gifts has God given me?

• How can I serve Him more faithfully?

• Am I walking in the purpose He created for me?

The wonderful news is this...

God never created anyone by accident.

Every person has been uniquely designed with gifts, talents, experiences, and opportunities that can be used for His glory.

My prayer is that this month's studies encourage you to discover—or rediscover—the incredible purpose God has placed on your life.

Let's begin this journey together.

Ephesians 2:8–10 (KJV)

"For by grace are ye saved through faith...

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

One of the most encouraging truths in Scripture is that God has a purpose for every believer.

You don't have to compare yourself to anyone else.

You don't have to wish for someone else's gifts.

God intentionally created you.

Your personality.

Your talents.

Your experiences.

Even the trials you've walked through can become part of your testimony and ministry to others.

Your calling isn't about becoming someone else.

It's about becoming the person God created you to be.

August 1, 1876

Colorado became the 38th state of the United States, earning the nickname "The Centennial State" because it joined the Union during the nation's centennial year.

History reminds us that every generation leaves a legacy. As Christians, may our greatest legacy be a life marked by faith, love, integrity, and service to God and others.

🎉 Today's Holidays

Today is filled with reasons to celebrate!

🍪 National Homemade Cookie Day — Bake a batch to share with family, friends, or a neighbor.

🌻 National Friendship Day Weekend (observed by many communities as the first weekend of August) — Reach out to someone who has encouraged you and let them know how much they mean to you.

There is something beautiful about sharing simple acts of kindness.

A smile.

A prayer.

A phone call.

A homemade treat.

Small acts of love often leave the biggest impact.

🌻 Inspiration for Today

Your calling isn't determined by your job title.

It's revealed by your willingness to serve.

Some are called to teach.

Some to encourage.

Some to lead.

Some to pray.

Some to comfort.

Some to create.

Some to quietly love others behind the scenes.

Every calling matters because every calling comes from God.

Don't underestimate what He can do through one life that is completely surrendered to Him.

Perhaps this is the month you discover that the gifts God has placed within you have been there all along... simply waiting for you to say,

"Here am I, Lord. Send me."

🙏 Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of a new month and a fresh beginning.

Thank You for creating each of us with purpose, intention, and love.

Help us to discover the calling You have placed upon our lives.

Open our hearts to Your leading.

Give us courage to step out in faith.

Help us to use our gifts to serve others and bring glory to Your name.

Bless every family reading today.

Strengthen the weary.

Comfort those who grieve.

Heal the sick.

Encourage the discouraged.

And remind each of us that our greatest purpose is found in walking closely with You.

May August become a month of growth, faith, and renewed purpose.
