“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” – Psalm 24:1 (KJV)

Hello, beloved family of faith!

As we step into this beautiful May 24th, let’s embrace the treasures God has placed all around us—through faith, heritage, creation, and celebration. Today’s lineup is full of inspiration, fun, and purpose!

 Christian Reflection

While there are no widely recognized Christian holidays today, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on our daily walk with Christ. Whether it’s through nature, rest, creativity, or service, God calls us to be mindful of His presence in every moment.

Try starting today with a quiet moment outside, praising God for the beauty around you (Psalm 19:1).

 National Holidays – USA

 National Wyoming Day

Let’s give a cheer for the Equality State! Wyoming became the 44th state in the Union and holds a special place in history as the first U.S. state to grant women the right to vote in 1869. Celebrate the wide-open spaces, wild beauty, and rugged spirit of this breathtaking state.

Fun Fact: Yellowstone, America’s first national park, is mostly located in Wyoming!

 National Escargot Day

Not everyone’s favorite—but did you know escargot (snails) has been eaten for centuries and is even mentioned in ancient Roman texts? It’s a fun reminder that God made every creature with purpose—even the slimy ones!

 World & Cultural Highlights

Eritrean Independence Day (1993)

Today, the people of Eritrea celebrate freedom and sovereignty. Let’s join in prayer for nations around the world—especially those facing war, oppression, or persecution—that freedom and peace would flow like a river (Isaiah 66:12).

On This Day in History – May 24

1844 – Samuel Morse sends the first message on the telegraph: “What hath God wrought.” (Numbers 23:23, KJV) – What a powerful first message! A reminder that God’s works are marvelous and worthy of celebration!

1883 – The Brooklyn Bridge opens to traffic—a feat of engineering and perseverance!

 Fun Fact of the Day

The Wyoming state flag features a bison, a symbol of strength and the wild spirit of the West. Inside the bison silhouette is the state seal, representing justice, liberty, and equality. Bison are also mentioned in Scripture as symbols of provision and power (see Deuteronomy 33:17, "the firstling of his bullock").

Free Adventure Idea: Create a “State Spirit Board”

Celebrate National Wyoming Day by crafting a State Spirit Board!

Print or draw Wyoming’s flag, add fun facts, photos of Yellowstone, or verses about God’s creation and freedom. Then make it a family project to create a board for your own state too!

Include scriptures like:

2 Corinthians 3:17 – "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

Psalm 33:12 – "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord..."

Snap a picture and share it with friends, your church group, or even hang it up for Memorial Day weekend!

 Final Word of Encouragement

Whether you’re marveling at a historic bridge, gazing at mountain views, or simply sipping coffee in the quiet, remember—every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17).

Let’s honor our history, cherish our freedom, and celebrate our Creator today.

Happy May 24th, sweet friends!
