✍️ Agape Love Publishing – Author Devotional Friday, August 7Every Word Is a Seed

Every Word Is a Seed

Scripture

"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days." — Ecclesiastes 11:1 (KJV)

As authors, we often wonder what happens after our words leave our hands.

Will anyone read them?

Will they make a difference?

Will the message God placed on our hearts truly reach those who need it most?

The truth is, every word written in obedience to God is like planting a seed.

A seed doesn't become a harvest overnight. It is planted, watered, nurtured, and then, in God's perfect timing, it begins to grow.

Your writing is no different.

A devotional may encourage someone years after you wrote it.

A testimony may give hope to someone who has just experienced the very trial God brought you through.

A children's story may plant the first seeds of faith in a young heart.

A novel filled with biblical truth may quietly remind a reader that God's love is always pursuing them.

You may never know all the lives your words will touch this side of Heaven.

But God knows.

He sees every sentence written in faith.

He knows every heart your message will reach.

Your responsibility isn't to force the harvest.

Your responsibility is to faithfully plant the seed.

Leave the results to the Master Gardener.

Keep writing.

Keep planting.

Keep trusting.

God specializes in bringing life from the seeds we faithfully sow.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for allowing us to use words as seeds of hope, encouragement, and truth. Help us never become discouraged when we cannot immediately see the results of our labor. Teach us to trust Your perfect timing and to remain faithful in the work You have called us to do. May every page we write glorify You and become a blessing to every reader You place in its path.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

✍️ Today's Author Challenge

Write one page today that encourages someone else.

Don't focus on selling a book.

Focus on planting a seed.

Ask yourself:

"How can these words help someone draw closer to Christ?"

Then write with love, compassion, and confidence.

💜 Friday Author Fellowship

Let's encourage one another as we finish the week!

Has someone else's book ever changed your life or strengthened your faith?

Tell us about it in the comments. What book was it, and what impact did it have on your walk with the Lord?

You never know—your own book may one day become that same encouragement for someone else.

Today's Encouragement

"A faithful author doesn't measure success by how many books are sold, but by how many seeds of hope are planted for God's Kingdom."

As you head into the weekend, remember that the words you write today may become tomorrow's answered prayer for someone you've never met.

Happy Writing, and may God richly bless the work of your hands!
