✍️ Agape Love Publishing – Author Devotional Thursday, August 6God Qualifies the Called

God Qualifies the Called

Scripture

"Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it." — 1 Thessalonians 5:24 (KJV)

Have you ever looked at another author and thought, I'll never write like they do?

Maybe you've questioned whether you're educated enough, experienced enough, or talented enough to write the book God placed on your heart.

Those thoughts don't come from God.

Throughout Scripture, God consistently chose ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes.

Moses didn't think he could speak well.

Jeremiah believed he was too young.

Gideon thought he was the least qualified.

Peter was an impulsive fisherman.

Yet God used each of them because they were willing to say, "Yes, Lord."

The same is true for you.

God doesn't call you because you've already mastered every skill.

He calls you because He knows what He can accomplish through a heart that trusts Him.

Every sentence you write is another opportunity to surrender your gifts back to the One who gave them.

Don't wait until you feel qualified.

Don't wait until everything is perfect.

Don't wait until fear disappears.

Begin today.

Write the chapter.

Finish the manuscript.

Share the testimony.

Encourage the weary.

Point people to Jesus.

The God who called you is also the God who will strengthen you, guide your words, and complete the work He has begun.

Your responsibility is simple:

Be faithful.

God will take care of the results.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for calling ordinary people to do extraordinary things for Your Kingdom. When doubt whispers that we are not enough, remind us that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Fill us with courage to write boldly, faithfully, and humbly. Guide every word we place on the page so that our writing reflects Your truth, love, and grace. May our lives and our stories always bring glory to You.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

💜 Thursday Author Conversation

Let's encourage one another!

What writing dream has God placed on your heart that you've been afraid to pursue?

Share it in the comments, and let's pray for one another. Sometimes speaking a dream out loud is the first act of faith.

Today's Encouragement

"God doesn't call the most qualified writers. He faithfully qualifies the writers who answer His call."

May your heart be filled with courage, your mind with fresh inspiration, and your pen with words that honor the Lord and bless every reader He brings into your path.

Happy Writing!
