Someone Is Waiting for the Words God Gave You
Scripture
"And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." — Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
Good Friday morning, authors! 💜
Have you ever had a story, book idea, testimony, or message keep coming back to your heart?
You push it aside.
You tell yourself you'll work on it later.
You question whether anyone would want to read it.
You wonder whether you're really qualified to write it.
Yet somehow, that idea just won't leave you alone.
Perhaps there's a reason.
Sometimes God places something within our hearts because someone else is going to need what He has given us.
Your words may be part of someone else's encouragement.
🌿 You May Not Know Your Reader Yet
One of the amazing things about being an author is that we often write for people we haven't met.
Somewhere, there may be a person who will one day open your book during exactly the season they need it.
A grieving heart may find comfort in your testimony.
A discouraged mother may recognize herself in your story.
A struggling believer may read your devotional and decide not to give up.
A child may discover faith through a story you've written.
Someone may simply need to laugh, smile, dream, or remember that there is still goodness in this world.
You don't have to know their name for God to know exactly who they are.
💜 Stop Waiting for Perfect
Sometimes the biggest obstacle between an author and a finished book isn't ability.
It's perfection.
"I'll start when I have more time."
"I'll finish when my writing gets better."
"I'll publish when everything is perfect."
Friend, perfect may never come.
But faithful can begin today.
God has never required perfection before He could use someone.
He looks for willing hearts.
Write the imperfect first draft.
Then edit it.
Rewrite it.
Learn.
Grow.
Ask questions.
Get help.
But don't allow the fear of doing something imperfectly to keep you from doing anything at all.
✍️ Your First Draft Isn't Your Final Story
Every author begins somewhere.
Every published book was once an unfinished manuscript.
Every finished manuscript was once a collection of scattered thoughts.
And every collection of thoughts began with someone brave enough to write the first sentence.
Don't become discouraged by where you are in the process.
Writing is a journey. Publishing is a journey. Learning is part of both.
That's one reason community matters.
We don't have to figure everything out alone.
We can learn from one another.
Encourage one another.
Celebrate book launches.
Share resources.
Ask questions.
And remind each other to keep going when writing gets difficult.
🙏 Friday Author Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for every story, testimony, idea, and message You have entrusted to us.
Give us courage to write what You have placed upon our hearts.
Remove the fear of failure, rejection, and imperfection that sometimes keeps us from moving forward.
Help us become faithful stewards of our words.
Lead us to the right people, resources, and opportunities as we write and publish.
Most importantly, prepare the hearts of the people who will one day read what we are writing today.
May our words encourage, inspire, teach, comfort, and ultimately bring glory to You.
In Jesus' precious name,
Amen.
✍️ Today's Author Challenge
Today, work on the project you've been putting off.
Just 20 minutes.
Write the paragraph.
Open the manuscript.
Outline the chapter.
Research the publishing question.
Edit the page.
Whatever your next step is—take it.
Twenty faithful minutes today could be the beginning of something much bigger than you can presently see.
💜 Friday Authors Hub Check-In!
Today I especially want to hear from our authors and future authors!
Where are YOU in your writing and publishing journey?
📖 I have an idea but haven't started.
✍️ I'm currently writing.
📝 I'm editing my manuscript.
📚 I'm preparing to publish.
🎉 I'm already a published author.
And published authors—share your book links!
Tell us what you've written and where readers can find your books. Let's discover new authors, support one another, and celebrate what God is doing through this community.
If you're still working on your first book, share your book idea or working title. You belong here too!
Then find another author in the comments and leave them a word of encouragement. 💜
🌸 Today's Encouragement
"Somewhere there may be a reader praying for encouragement that God has already placed inside the story He's asking you to write."
Don't let fear silence your voice.
Don't let comparison steal your calling.
Don't let perfection keep the manuscript unfinished.
Pray.
Write.
Learn.
Publish when the time is right.
And trust God with where your words travel.
Someone may be waiting for the very words God gave you.
Happy Friday & Happy Writing! 💜📖✍️
Write. Publish. Inspire. Support One Another.
