Write What God Has Whispered

Scripture:

"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it..." — Isaiah 30:21 (KJV)

There are moments when an idea seems to come out of nowhere. A sentence forms in your heart while you're driving. A character comes to life in your imagination. A lesson from your own journey suddenly feels too important to keep to yourself.

As Christian writers, we know those moments are often much more than inspiration—they can be gentle whispers from the Holy Spirit.

God has always used ordinary people to communicate extraordinary truth. Moses had a staff. David had a sling. The disciples had their testimonies. You have a pen, a keyboard, and a story that God has uniquely entrusted to you.

Not every word you write will become a bestseller, but every word written in obedience has eternal value. Your testimony may become someone else's encouragement. Your devotional may strengthen a weary believer. Your children's story may plant seeds of faith that last a lifetime. Your novel may point a searching heart toward God's love through characters and hope-filled themes.

Never underestimate what God can do with words surrendered to Him.

Before you begin writing today, pause for a few moments. Sit quietly in His presence. Ask Him, "Lord, what do You want me to write today?" Then listen with an open heart.

The world doesn't need more noise.

It needs more voices that faithfully echo the heart of God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for speaking to Your children with love and purpose. Help us quiet the distractions around us so we can clearly hear Your voice. Fill our hearts with wisdom, compassion, and truth as we write. May every page we create reflect Your goodness and point others toward the hope found in Jesus Christ. Keep us humble, teachable, and faithful to the calling You have placed upon our lives.

In Jesus' name,Amen.

Before writing today, spend 10 quiet minutes with God.

Write down three ideas, Scriptures, or thoughts He places on your heart. Don't judge them—simply record them. Those small whispers may become your next article, devotional, book chapter, or even the message that changes someone's life.
