The weekend is here…
And with it comes a gentle invitation from God—
Not to strive harder…Not to push more…
But to slow down and be renewed.
As writers, it’s easy to carry the weight of our work into every moment.
Thinking about the next chapter…The next idea…The next step.
But even in your calling…
God designed you to rest.
Isaiah reminds us that when we wait on the Lord, our strength is renewed.
That includes your creativity.Your focus.Your passion.
Psalm 46 calls us to be still.
Not distracted.Not rushed.Not overwhelmed.
Just still… in His presence.
Because it is in that stillness that clarity comes.
And Proverbs reminds us to trust Him fully.
Not just when things are moving forward…
But also in the pauses.
Even when you don’t feel productive…God is still working.
Even when you’re resting…God is still preparing.
So this weekend…
Give yourself permission to rest.
