As another week comes to a close, take a moment to breathe.

Writing is important.

Your message matters.

Your goals matter.

But so does rest.

Sometimes we become so focused on the next chapter, the next deadline, the next project, that we forget to appreciate how far God has already brought us.

This weekend, don't focus on what you haven't accomplished.

Focus on what God has helped you accomplish.

Maybe you finished a chapter.

Maybe you outlined a new book.

Maybe you simply showed up and wrote when it would have been easier to quit.

That matters.

Faithfulness matters.

God honors obedience far more than perfection.

Proverbs reminds us to commit our work to the Lord.

Not just the finished manuscript.

Not just the published book.

But the process.

The dreaming.

The planning.

The waiting.

Psalm 37 reminds us to trust Him with the outcome.

You don't have to carry the weight of success on your shoulders.

That's God's job.

Your job is to remain faithful.

And Isaiah reminds us that those who wait upon the Lord will find renewed strength.

So this weekend...

Rest without guilt.

Dream without fear.

Pray without limits.

And prepare your heart for the opportunities God is already arranging ahead of you.

The next chapter of your writing journey is coming.

Trust the Author of your story.
