Weekends often bring quiet moments.

Moments when memories come rushing in.

Moments when we wish we could hear their voice one more time, share one more meal, or simply sit together again.

And for some hearts, this weekend may be especially tender.

As Father's Day arrives on Sunday, June 21st, many will celebrate fathers who are still here.

But many others will quietly carry memories of fathers, grandfathers, husbands, sons, and father figures who are now in Heaven.

Perhaps you miss his laugh.

Perhaps you miss his wisdom.

Perhaps you simply miss hearing him say your name.

And though grief reminds us of the empty places, love reminds us of the blessings we were given.

The truth is, those we love leave more than memories.

They leave legacies.

They leave lessons.

They leave laughter.

And they leave love that time itself cannot erase.

This weekend, give yourself permission to remember.

Smile at the happy memories.

Tell the funny stories.

Share the lessons they taught you.

Speak their names with love.

And if tears come, let them come.

Because tears are simply love remembering.
