"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."— Romans 8:38-39

Devotional Thought

Weekends often bring a slower pace.

And with that quiet can come memories.

Some memories make us smile.

Others bring tears.

Some leave us laughing at stories we still cherish.

And some remind us just how deeply we miss those we love.

Grief has a way of reminding us that love mattered.

But this weekend, God wants to remind you of something even greater:

His love has not changed.

Not because your grief is gone.

Not because the pain has disappeared.

But because His love is stronger than the sorrow you carry.

Romans 8 gives us one of the most powerful promises in Scripture:

Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Not loss.

Not loneliness.

Not questions.

Not tears.

Not the hard days.

His love reaches into the deepest valleys and surrounds us with His presence.

So if this weekend feels heavy…

Rest.

If tears come…

Let them.

If memories surface…

Cherish them.

And if your heart feels tired, remember this:

You are not forgotten.

You are not abandoned.

And you are not carrying this journey alone.

The same God who has faithfully brought you this far will continue to walk beside you.

And His love will never let you go.

Prayer

Lord,

Thank You for Your everlasting love that never fails. Thank You for holding us close through every season of grief. As we enter this weekend, surround every grieving heart with Your peace and comfort. Help us to rest in Your promises, treasure our memories, and trust that Your love is carrying us through.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
