Theme: Shining Light Through Words Scripture: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” — Matthew 5:14 (KJV)
As an author called by God, your words are more than ink on paper — they are light in a world searching for truth. Every story, devotional, poem, and testimony you write has the power to pierce darkness and guide others toward hope.
Sometimes you may feel like your light is small — just a flicker in the vastness of the world. But remember this: even the smallest flame can drive out the deepest shadows. God has placed His light within you, not to be hidden, but to shine brightly through your words, your faith, and your obedience.
Writing for God isn’t always easy. There will be moments when discouragement tries to dim your passion or when the enemy whispers that your voice doesn’t matter. But when you write under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you are releasing light that no darkness can overcome.
Let your words illuminate the truth of God’s love, grace, and redemption. Be that “city on a hill” through your writing — a beacon that helps others find their way home to Him.
Reflection Prayer:
Lord, thank You for calling me to write words that shine for You. Help me to use my gift boldly, to bring light where there is darkness, and to encourage hearts that have grown weary. Let every word I write reflect Your truth and glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Challenge: Write something today that carries light — a piece of encouragement, a story of hope, or a reflection of God’s faithfulness. Don’t hide your light; let it shine boldly through your words.
