Good morning, 🤠We’re starting the week with a rich, creamy, and comforting classic—a chuckwagon twist on beef stroganoff that’s simple, hearty, and made all in one pan!

This dish is packed with savory beef, tender noodles, and a creamy sauce—perfect for a cozy meal after a long day.

🥩🍝 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or sliced beef

  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups egg noodles (uncooked)

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Optional: sliced mushrooms

🔥 Chuckwagon Cooking Instructions

1️⃣ Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat.

2️⃣ Add oil and cook beef until browned.

3️⃣ Stir in onion and garlic; cook until soft and fragrant.

4️⃣ Add uncooked noodles and beef broth. Stir well.

5️⃣ Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes until noodles are tender.

6️⃣ Stir in sour cream and seasonings until creamy and well combined.

7️⃣ Optional: add mushrooms and cook a few minutes more.

🥄 Chuckwagon Serving Tip

Serve hot with:

  • Warm bread 🧈

  • A side salad

  • Or enjoy it straight from the skillet 🤠

Campfire Tip

Add sour cream at the end and keep heat low to prevent curdling—this keeps the sauce smooth and creamy.
