Happy Saturday! Today's chuckwagon recipe is all about simple ingredients, big flavors, and plenty of smiles around the dinner table.
This Cowboy Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot CasseroleĀ combines seasoned ground beef, smoky bacon, sweet corn, melted cheese, and crispy tater tots into one delicious, family-friendly meal.
It's the perfect recipe for a busy Saturday when you'd rather spend time making memories than washing dishes!
š Ingredients
For the Casserole
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 can (15 ounces) sweet corn, drained
1 can (10.5 ounces) cheddar cheese soup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
Optional Toppings
Diced tomatoes
Sliced pickles
Chopped green onions
Sour cream
š„ Let's Get Cooking!
1ļøā£ Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2ļøā£ Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat.
3ļøā£ Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
4ļøā£ Stir in the corn, cheddar cheese soup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and half of the crumbled bacon.
5ļøā£ Spread the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
6ļøā£ Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
7ļøā£ Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the top.
8ļøā£ Bake for 30 minutes.
9ļøā£ Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese and bacon.
š Return to the oven for another 5ā10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tater tots are golden and crispy.
