Craft: āJOY Wood Block SignāĀ ā¤ļøāØšŖµ
Theme:Ā A simple, farmhouse-style Christmas sign reminding us that true joy comes from Jesus.
This craft is perfect for mantels, tiered trays, shelves, or gifting!
ā¤ļø What Youāll Need:
Small wood blockĀ (or scrap wood piece)
White paintĀ (chalk paint or acrylic)
Red paintĀ or green paint
Wooden letter cutouts J ⢠O ⢠Y
OR cardstock letters
Mini wreath, greenery sprig, or bottlebrush tree
Hot glue gun
Optional:
Sandpaper (for rustic edges)
Twine
Buttons or berries
Gold pen for accents
⨠Directions:
1. Paint the Wood Block
Paint your wood block white (or antique cream).Let dry.Optional: Lightly sand the edges for a farmhouse look.
2. Add the Letters
Paint the JĀ and YĀ red or green.Glue them to the left and right sides of the block.
3. Make the āOā
Choose one of these for the āOā:
A tiny mini wreath
A small piece of greenery shaped in a circle
A bottlebrush tree glued in the center
A painted wooden circle with a star
A Christmas bow
Glue it in place centered between the letters.
4. Decorate the Corners
Add berries, buttons, twine bows, or tiny snowflakes to the corners for extra charm.
5. Display
Place on:
Mantels
Coffee bars
Shelves
Entry tables
Or tuck into a tiered tray display
It photographs beautifully for social media too!
