šŸŽ Christmas Craft Countdown – Day 29 (December 7)


Craft: ā€œGingerbread House Bookmarkā€Ā šŸŖšŸ“–šŸ 

Theme:Ā A cute gingerbread-themed bookmark to remind us that God builds our lives with love and sweetness.

Perfect for Bible study groups, kids’ crafts, stocking stuffers, or attaching to a Christmas card!

ā¤ļø What You’ll Need:

  • Brown cardstockĀ or craft foam

  • White paint penĀ or white gel pen (for icing)

  • MarkersĀ (red, green, black)

  • Small stickersĀ (gumdrops, peppermints, hearts)

  • RibbonĀ or yarn

  • Hole punch

  • Optional:

    • Glitter glue

    • Mini button stickers

    • Googly eyes

    • A printed scripture tag

✨ Directions:

1. Cut Out the Bookmark Shape

Cut a long rectangle from brown cardstock.Round the corners or shape the top like a gingerbread roof.

2. Draw the Gingerbread House Details

Using your white pen, add:

  • Icing swirls

  • Dots

  • Roof shingles

  • Window outlines

  • A little door

Add colorful candy details using markers or small stickers.

3. Add Scripture (Optional)

Write a short verse at the bottom, such as:ā€œAs for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.ā€ — Joshua 24:15

Or a Christmas verse.

4. Punch & Add Ribbon

Punch a hole at the top and thread a cute ribbon through it.Red, green, or candy-cane-stripe ribbon works beautifully!

5. Add Finishing Touches

  • Glitter glue for sparkle

  • A tiny heart sticker above the door

  • A little gingerbread man sticker on the side

6. Use or Gift

Perfect for Bible journaling, devotion books, or gifting to friends at church!
