🎁 Christmas Craft Countdown – Day 31 (December 9)

Craft: “Names of Jesus Paper Chain Garland” ✨📜🎄

Theme: A beautiful garland celebrating the many names of Jesus — one name on each link, forming a chain of praise!

This makes a wonderful decoration for mantels, trees, classrooms, and church spaces.

❤️ What You’ll Need:

• Colored paper strips (red, green, gold, white, or patterned)

• Markers or gel pens

• Glue stick, tape, or stapler

• Glitter pens or stickers (optional)

• Optional:

  • Ribbon

  • Mini bells

  • Scripture tags

✨ Directions:

1. Cut Paper Strips

Cut several strips of paper, each about 1 inch wide and 8 inches long.

For a 25-link chain, prepare 25 strips — but you can make yours as long as you like!

2. Write a Name of Jesus on Each Strip

Here are some powerful names to include:

• Wonderful Counselor

• Prince of Peace

• Emmanuel

• Light of the World

• Savior

• Messiah

• Redeemer

• Good Shepherd

• King of Kings

• Lamb of God

• Alpha & Omega

• Bread of Life

• The Way, The Truth, The Life

• Lord of Lords

• Son of God

Decorate each strip with:

• Stars

• Hearts

• Snowflakes

• Glitter accents

3. Form the Chain

Loop the first strip into a circle and glue or staple the ends.

Then loop the next strip through it and secure.

Continue until all strips are interconnected.

4. Optional Additions

• Tie ribbon between every 5–6 links

• Add mini bells for sound

• Add a tag at the beginning that says “The Names of Jesus Garland”

• Add scripture:

  • Matthew 1:23

  • Isaiah 9:6

5. Display

Hang your garland:

• Across a mantle

• Around a Christmas tree

• Above a window

• In a classroom or church hallway

This makes a beautiful Christ-centered decoration for the season.
