God Turns What Was Meant for Harm into Good
Trusting Godâs Redeeming Power
Scripture: âBut as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto goodâŠââ Genesis 50:20 (KJV)
Reflection: There are moments in life that leave scarsâwords spoken, choices made, seasons endured that never should have happened. Yet Scripture declares a hope-filled truth: God is a Redeemer. He does not waste pain. He does not overlook injustice. He does not abandon us to the harm done by others.
Josephâs story ends not in bitterness, but in freedom. What was meant to destroy him became the very thing God used to save many lives. This doesnât excuse the wrongâbut it magnifies the power of God to heal, restore, and bring purpose where none seemed possible.
As we walk through 2026, some of us may still be carrying wounds from the past. Todayâs devotional invites us to release the weight of why and trust God with the what now. God can redeem what hurt you. He can bring beauty from ashes. He can write a new chapter that testifies to His goodness.
Let today be a turning pointâwhere faith rises above bitterness and trust replaces fear.
Meditation: Quietly ask: What pain do I need to place into Godâs hands today? Trust Him to redeem it in His perfect time.
Prayer: Father, thank You for being a God who redeems. Help me release the pain of the past and trust You with my story. Heal what was broken, restore what was lost, and use my life for Your glory. I choose faith over bitterness and trust You to bring good from every situation. In Jesusâ name, Amen. đ
