š Daily Devotional ā Loved Enough to Forgive Letting Agape Love Heal the Heart āAnd be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christās sake hath forgiven you.āā Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)
Reflection: Agape love is not passiveāit is powerful. It does not only comforts us; it calls us higher. One of the most challenging and freeing expressions of Godās love is forgiveness.
Forgiveness is not pretending the hurt didnāt happen. It is not excusing the wrong. It is releasing the weight of it into Godās hands.
When we understand how deeply we have been forgiven, it softens our hearts. Godās Agape love toward us becomes the very strength we draw from to forgive others. We donāt forgive because the other person deserves itāwe forgive because we have received mercy ourselves.
Unforgiveness keeps wounds open. Agape love heals them.
Today, if there is a name, a memory, or a situation that still causes pain, ask God to help you surrender it. His love is strong enough to restore what was broken and gentle enough to mend what was wounded.
Forgiveness is not weaknessāit is freedom.
Meditation:Ask quietly:Is there someone I need to forgive today?Invite Godās love into that space.
Prayer:Father, thank You for forgiving me through Jesus Christ. Help me extend that same grace to others. Heal the places in my heart that still ache and give me the courage to release resentment. Let Your Agape love flow through me and bring peace where there was pain. In Jesusā name, Amen. š
