šŸ”„ Daily Devotional – October 20, 2025 šŸ”„The Days We’re Living In – Stay Alert, Stay Faithful

Theme: The Days We’re Living In – Stay Alert, Stay Faithful

Scripture (KJV):ā€œThis know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.ā€ – 2 Timothy 3:1–2

Reflection: Sometimes it feels like the world has gone completely upside down. We see things that shock us—violence, selfishness, greed, pride, and rebellion—and it’s easy to feel discouraged. But when I read 2 Timothy 3 this morning, I was reminded that none of this surprises God. He told us long ago exactly what these days would look like.

The truth is, what we are witnessing today was already written in His Word. The Lord knew it would happen, and He calls us not to fear—but to stand firm.Ā As believers, we are called to be light in the darkness, to pray daily for protection over our families, our friends, our coworkers, and our neighbors, and to share the hope of Jesus boldly.

Now more than ever, we need to take our faith seriously. Time is short, and souls are at stake. We must set our hearts on winning as many souls for the Kingdom as we can. Imagine if each of us shared the gospel with ten people, and each of them shared it with ten more—what a beautiful ripple of salvation that would be!

It reminds me of something I was thinking about this morning—remember Amway? The way people used to recruit others, excited to share something they believed in? We should have that same passion for soul winning!Ā Every believer is a disciple-maker, and every disciple should be training others to follow Jesus.

The world may be growing darker, but our light shines brightest when it’s darkest outside. Let’s rise up, Church. Let’s pray, witness, and live every day with eternity in mind.

Devotional Thought: Don’t be surprised by the state of the world—be stirred to action. Pray harder, love deeper, and share Jesus boldly. The time is now.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word that opens our eyes to the times we are living in. Strengthen us, Lord, to stand firm in faith and to shine Your light in a dark world. Place a holy urgency in our hearts to reach the lost, disciple the found, and protect those we love under the covering of Jesus’ blood. May we never grow weary of doing Your work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Encouragement for Today: If you don’t have a church home, find a Bible-teaching, Spirit-filled church where you can grow, serve, and be strengthened. And if you attend church today, I’d love to hear what your pastor preached about! Let’s keep encouraging one another and pressing forward for the Kingdom of God.

God bless y’all, and have a wonderful Sunday! ā¤ļø
