Feeling The Stress? Everyone has experienced the feelings of anxiety. It is described as ”an emotion characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil.” Our minds are focused on pressing needs, deadlines, expectations, or other outside circumstances that seem to push against our need for peace and pleasant thoughts. There are many suggestions to deal with this inner struggle such as breathing techniques or peaceful, relaxing music, but today’s scripture reading explains how to handle this common experience. “A good word” is needed to lift our heavy heart. “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is that! (Proverbs 15:23). Let us take opportunities to use God’s Word and share a special moment with someone to help them with anxiety. Prayer: We are thankful Lord for Your Word that is able to help us with anxious or troubling thoughts. Help us today to speak a “good word “to someone who needs to hear it. May we find peace and joy in Your Presence. Amen.
