Following Your Calling in Jesus – Day FourApril 24, 2025Theme: Faith Over Fear
Scripture (KJV):"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."— 2 Timothy 1:7
Devotion:Fear has a sneaky way of creeping in when you start walking in your calling. Suddenly, you wonder if you’re good enough, wise enough, or strong enough. But God did not place a spirit of fear in you—He placed His Spirit, full of power, love, and a sound mind.
Fear will always try to shut the door God is opening. But faith swings it wide and walks through, even if your knees are trembling. Your calling will stretch you, but it will never break you when you're held in God's hands. Step out, even scared, and you’ll find the Holy Spirit strengthening you as you go.
Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s moving forward anyway, trusting that God is already in your tomorrow.
Prayer:Lord, I confess the fear that tries to hold me back. Replace it with Your peace and confidence. Help me to choose faith over fear and step into what You’ve called me to do. I believe that You have not given me fear but power, love, and a sound mind. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Challenge:Name one fear that has been keeping you from fully embracing your calling. Write a scripture next to it—like 2 Timothy 1:7—and speak God’s truth out loud today.
