"In His Time"
Scripture:
"He has made everything beautiful in its time."
â Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV)
Devotion:
Waiting is hard. Especially when youâve been praying, planning, and pouring your heart into something that still hasnât come to pass. Whether itâs a breakthrough, healing, restoration, or directionâyou might be asking, âWhen, Lord?â
Ecclesiastes 3:11 gently reminds us that God operates on a perfect timetable, not ours. Heâs not slow, and Heâs not rushed. Heâs precise. Like a master gardener, He plants seeds in our lives and tends to them carefully. Some bloom in days. Others take years. But all of themâevery single oneâwill be made beautiful in His time.
Your current season might feel messy, confusing, or stagnant. But just because you canât see the movement doesnât mean God isnât working beneath the surface. Trust that His delays are not denialsâtheyâre divine setups for something better than you imagined.
Let today be a reminder that God has not forgotten you. He is shaping something beautiful out of what youâre walking through right now. Trust Him. His timing is perfect.
Reflection Questions:
What are you waiting on God for right now?
How has God shown up in your life at âjust the right timeâ in the past?
What does trusting Godâs timing look like for you today?
Prayer:
Lord, I confess that waiting isnât easy. I want to see the answers, the miracles, the fruitânow. But I trust that You know best. Help me surrender my timelines and expectations to You. Give me peace in the waiting and hope in the process. I believe that You are making all things beautiful, even when I canât see it yet. In Jesusâ name, amen.
