After all the adventures on the road, we made our way to Rossville, GA, to spend the last part of our trip with family — and it was the perfect ending to this vacation.
Late Nights & Good Conversation
We arrived in Rossville on the 4th and were welcomed with a wonderful dinner from Teresa and Curtis. The evening was filled with laughter, stories, and reminiscing about old times. We ended up staying up way too late just chit-chatting — but those are the best kind of nights.
Thrift Store Fun & Lawn Mower Repairs
July 5th, Teresa and I did what we do best — thrift store shopping! We found some treasures and enjoyed just hanging out together. When we got back, Tim and Curtis were hard at work fixing a lawn mower, while Teresa and I headed inside to cool off and talk about crafting. She’s so talented and creative — I always love hearing about her latest projects.
A Little Taste of Home… Away From Home
For dinner, we grabbed Captain D’s, which was a treat since we don’t have one close to home. Sometimes, the little things — like fried fish and hush puppies — just hit the spot.
After dinner, we stayed up talking until after 1 a.m., laughing, sharing stories, and enjoying time with them and their sweet little dog, Gus.
Coffee on the Porch & Heading Home
This morning, we soaked in one last peaceful moment, sitting on the porch with Teresa and Curtis, sipping coffee, and watching the world wake up. We stayed out there until nearly 11:30 before finally packing up to head home.
It’s been a beautiful, blessed vacation — filled with unexpected detours, new sights, good food, family, and God's hand guiding us every step of the way. But as much as we’ve enjoyed the adventure, there’s nothing quite like the comfort of heading home.
Grateful for this trip, grateful for the memories, and always grateful for God's blessings along the way.
