 Sausage, Cabbage & Potato Camp Stew

A hearty, humble winter stew — filling, affordable, and deeply warming.

Serves: 6–8Cook Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 potatoes, diced

  • 3 cups chopped cabbage

  • 4 cups chicken or beef broth

  • Black pepper & salt

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage in a Dutch oven. Remove and set aside.

  2. Add onion, potatoes, cabbage, and broth.

  3. Simmer 30 minutes. Return sausage and warm through.
