"The Power of God's Presence"
"And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest."— Exodus 33:14 (KJV)
Reflection:
Have you ever walked through a day where everything felt heavy? Burdens pile up, worries fill your mind, and peace seems out of reach. But there is one thing that changes everything — the Presence of God.
Moses knew the importance of God’s presence. He told the Lord, “If Your Presence go not with me, carry us not up hence” (Exodus 33:15). Moses wasn't just asking for blessings or provision; he was asking for God Himself to walk with him.
That’s the beautiful promise we have today too. No matter where life takes us, when God goes with us, we can have peace, strength, and rest even in the hardest moments.
A Personal Story:
There was a time in my life when everything felt like it was falling apart. Doors I thought would open stayed shut. Prayers I prayed seemed unanswered. I remember sitting alone, feeling forgotten and overwhelmed. But in that quiet moment, I felt the sweetest whisper in my spirit: "I am here with you."
Nothing in my situation changed right away, but everything changed in my heart. God’s Presence became my comfort, my peace, and my strength. That’s the power of His Presence — it reminds us we are never alone.
Today’s Prayer:
Lord, I don't want to take a single step without You. Let Your Presence go with me everywhere I go. Be my peace, my strength, and my guide. Help me to recognize when You are near and to trust that You will never leave me or forsake me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Scriptures for Further Study:
Psalm 16:11 (KJV) — "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
Joshua 1:9 (KJV) — "...for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
Matthew 28:20 (KJV) — "...lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
Today's Reminder:
You may not always feel Him, but God is always with you. Rest in His Presence today. Lean into His love. Walk confidently knowing your Heavenly Father walks beside you.
