Today's project combines two of my favorite things: thrifting and sunflowers! 🌻

We're taking an inexpensive thrift-store basket and turning it into a beautiful Sunflower Welcome Basket that's perfect for your front door, porch, kitchen, or entryway.

This cheerful project is affordable, easy to customize, and makes a wonderful weekend craft for the whole family!

🧺 What You'll Need

🧺 Thrifted basket

🌻 Faux sunflowers

🌿 Greenery

🎀 Ribbon or burlap

🖌️ Hot glue gun

🏷️ Small wooden sign

✨ Optional seasonal decorations

🌻 Step 1 - Find Your Treasure

Look for baskets at:

🏡 Estate sales

🛍️ Thrift stores

🚜 Yard sales

🏚️ Flea markets

Don't worry if the basket isn't perfect. A little paint and creativity can completely transform it!

🎨 Step 2 - Give It a Makeover

Paint your basket or leave it natural.

Great color choices include:

🤍 Farmhouse white

💜 Lavender

🌿 Sage green

🤎 Natural stain

Add a light coat of sealer if the basket will be displayed outdoors.

🌼 Step 3 - Add the Flowers

Arrange your sunflowers first, then fill in the empty spaces with greenery and smaller flowers.
