Waiting on God: A Lesson in Trust
*"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."*
—Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
---
There was a season in my life when waiting on God felt like standing still in the middle of a storm. Prayers went up, but answers seemed so far away. I remember crying out to the Lord about a particular situation that weighed heavy on my heart. Every door I tried to open slammed shut. Every plan I made fell apart. All I could do was wait.
But in that waiting season, God was working. He was preparing me, shaping me, and teaching me that His timing is always perfect. Looking back now, I can see that what I thought was a delay was actually His divine protection and preparation.
Sometimes the greatest blessings come not in the answer itself, but in the faith, strength, and patience we develop while we wait on Him.
---
### Reflection:
- Are you in a waiting season today?
- How is God using this time to strengthen your faith?
- Will you trust His timing, even when it feels slow?
---
### Prayer:
Heavenly Father, give me the strength to wait on You with courage and faith. Help me to trust that You are working behind the scenes, preparing me for what is ahead. Strengthen my heart as I lean on Your promises. In Jesus' name, Amen.
---
### Scripture for Meditation:
- Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) — "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength..."
- Lamentations 3:25 (KJV) — "The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him."
- Galatians 6:9 (KJV) — "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
---
Keep waiting, keep trusting, and keep believing—God is never late!
