Writing Through the Silence Scripture: “Be still, and know that I am God.”—Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
Devotional: There are times when the words won’t come—when your pen feels heavy and your thoughts seem quiet. But even in the silence, God is speaking.
The still moments are not wasted. They are sacred pauses where your spirit can rest, listen, and realign with His voice. Often, the greatest inspiration grows out of quiet seasons. God may be preparing you to write something deeper, something that flows from peace rather than pressure.
Don’t force the words. Instead, sit with the Lord and let His presence refill your heart. In His time, the silence will break, and the words will come—not from striving, but from stillness.
Remember, you’re not just a writer; you’re a vessel. And sometimes, even vessels need to be still to be refilled.
Reflection Prompt: How can you embrace stillness today and allow God to renew your creativity and peace?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the quiet moments that draw me closer to You. Help me not to fear the silence but to find strength and inspiration in it. Fill me with Your peace, and when the time is right, let Your words flow through me again. In Jesus’ name, amen.
