Hope

**May 6th Daily Devotional: Hope in Jesus**

**Theme: Resting in God’s Faithfulness**

**Scripture:**

*“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”* — Lamentations 3:21–23 (KJV)

**Reflection:**

In moments of despair, we must remind ourselves of truth. Jeremiah, in the midst of sorrow, made a deliberate choice: he recalled the faithfulness and mercy of God—and found hope.

We do the same. When life feels heavy or uncertain, we turn our thoughts toward God’s unfailing compassion. His mercies are not only enough—they are new every morning. He has never failed us, and He never will.

This kind of hope doesn’t come from circumstances; it comes from knowing the One who holds all things together. God’s faithfulness becomes the pillow on which we rest our weary souls.

**Faith-Building Question:**

What do you need to recall today that will restore your hope in God's faithfulness?

**Prayer:**

Lord, thank You that Your mercies are new each morning. In the moments I feel overwhelmed, help me to remember Your compassion and faithfulness. Let my heart find rest and hope in You alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
