🌿 Thursday, April 23, 2026✨ Finish Strong, Not Fast ✨
đź“– Scripture (KJV)
Hebrews 12:1“…let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”
Ecclesiastes 7:8“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof…”
James 1:12“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life…”
✍️ Devotional Thought
In a world that celebrates speed…
We can feel the pressure to hurry.
Finish the book quickly.Publish as soon as possible.Keep up with everyone else.
But God’s way is different.
He is not asking you to finish fast…
He is asking you to finish faithfully.
Hebrews reminds us that this journey is a race that requires patience.
Not rushing. Not comparing. Not striving to get ahead.
But enduring… step by step.
Ecclesiastes tells us that the end is better than the beginning.
Why?
Because finishing represents:
✨ Growth✨ Commitment✨ Faithfulness
It’s easy to start something.
It takes perseverance to complete it.
James reminds us that endurance brings blessing.
That means the middle, the struggle, the slow progress…
All of it is shaping something within you.
Your writing is not just producing a book…
It is producing perseverance in you.
So if you feel like things are moving slowly…
That’s okay.
If the process feels longer than expected…
That’s okay.
If you’re still working through the same chapter…
That’s okay.
Because what matters is not how fast you finish…
It’s that you don’t give up.
So today, release the pressure to rush.
Stay steady.Stay focused.Stay faithful.
Because finishing strong…
Is far more powerful than finishing fast.
🌿 Thursday Reflection
Am I feeling pressure to rush my writing journey?
What does finishing “faithfully” look like for me?
How can I stay patient in the process?
🙏 Prayer
Father,Thank You for reminding me that this journey is not about speed, but about faithfulness. Help me to stay patient and focused, even when progress feels slow. Strengthen me to endure and complete what You have called me to do. Let my writing be done with purpose and perseverance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
