Stay Faithful in the Waiting
Scripture:
Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
One of the hardest parts of the writing journey is learning how to wait.
We wait for inspiration.
We wait for opportunities.
We wait for doors to open.
We wait for answers to prayers.
And sometimes we wonder if God has forgotten the dream He placed within our hearts.
But waiting does not mean God is absent.
And delay does not mean denial.
Often, God is doing some of His greatest work behind the scenes.
While we are waiting, He is preparing.
Preparing us.
Preparing opportunities.
Preparing readers.
Preparing hearts.
Preparing the next chapter.
Psalm 27 reminds us to wait on the Lord with courage.
Not with fear.
Not with frustration.
But with confidence that He is working even when we cannot see it.
Isaiah reminds us that those who wait upon the Lord will find renewed strength.
Not exhaustion.
Not hopelessness.
Renewed strength.
Because waiting with God is never wasted time.
Habakkuk reminds us that the vision has an appointed time.
God is never early.
God is never late.
He is always right on time.
So if you are in a season of waiting, do not lose heart.
Keep writing.
Keep praying.
Keep dreaming.
Keep believing.
Continue preparing for the doors that God will open.
And trust that the Author of your story is working behind the scenes in ways you cannot yet understand.
One day, you will look back and realize that even the waiting had a purpose.
Daily Reflection
đź’ś What am I waiting on God for right now?
đź’ś Have I allowed discouragement to replace faith?
đź’ś Am I trusting God's timing or trying to force my own?
đź’ś What can I faithfully do while I wait?
đź’ś How has God been faithful to me in the past?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding me that Your timing is perfect. Help me not to become discouraged when answers seem delayed. Strengthen my faith and renew my spirit as I wait upon You. Teach me to trust Your plan and to remain faithful during every season. Thank You for working behind the scenes and for preparing beautiful things that I cannot yet see. In Jesus' name, Amen.
đź’ś Author Encouragement
Don't lose heart.
Don't give up.
And don't mistake waiting for failure.
God is still working.
God is still preparing.
And the Author of your story is never late.
Keep writing.
Keep believing.
Keep trusting. ✍️📖💜
