📖 Scripture (KJV)

Ecclesiastes 3:1“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

Isaiah 55:10–11“…so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void…”

James 1:4“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

✍️ Devotional Thought

As writers, we often want to see progress quickly.

We want the chapter finished.The book completed.The message fully formed.

But God works differently.

He works in seasons.

Ecclesiastes reminds us that everything has its time.

There is a time to begin.A time to grow.A time to refine.And a time to finish.

And sometimes… you may feel like you’re in a slower season.

A season where words don’t come as easily.A season where progress feels small.A season where you’re unsure of what’s next.

But that does not mean nothing is happening.

God is still working.

Isaiah reminds us that His Word never returns void.

That means every word written in obedience…every sentence formed in faith…every message shaped by His hand…

Has purpose.

Even when you can’t yet see the results.

James reminds us that patience is not wasted time.

It is doing a deeper work in you.

✨ Strengthening your faith✨ Shaping your message✨ Preparing you for what’s ahead

The process you are in right now…

is part of the story God is writing through you.

So don’t rush it.

Don’t compare it.

Don’t question it.

Trust it.

Because the same God who gave you the vision…

Is faithfully working through every step of the process.

What season do I feel like I’m in right now in my writing?

Am I becoming discouraged by slow progress?

How can I trust God more in the process?

Father,Thank You for reminding me that everything has its season. Help me to trust the process You are walking me through. Give me patience when progress feels slow and faith to believe that You are still working. Let every word I write be led by You and used for Your purpose.In Jesus’ name, Amen.
