📖 Scripture (KJV)

Isaiah 43:19“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?...”

Lamentations 3:22-23“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness.”

Psalm 51:10“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

✍️ Devotional Thought

Every writer experiences seasons when things don't go as planned.

Perhaps you set a goal and missed it.

Maybe life became busy and writing had to wait.

Perhaps you've started and stopped so many times that you're wondering if you'll ever finish.

But here's the beautiful truth—

God is the God of fresh starts.

His mercies are new every morning.

Not once a year.

Not once a month.

Every single day.

That means today is a gift.

A chance to begin again.

A chance to return to the manuscript.

A chance to dust off old dreams.

A chance to write the next page.

Isaiah reminds us that God is always doing something new.

He is not limited by yesterday's disappointments.

Neither should you be.

The enemy wants you to focus on what you didn't do.

God wants you to focus on what you can do today.

Write one page.

Edit one chapter.

Pray over one idea.

Take one step.

Because faithfulness isn't about never falling behind.

It's about continually returning to the calling God has placed on your heart.

So don't allow guilt to keep you from moving forward.

Don't let fear convince you it's too late.

And don't believe the lie that because you stopped, you cannot start again.

You can.

Because God specializes in new beginnings.

And sometimes the most beautiful stories come after a fresh start.

Father,

Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your endless mercy. Thank You that no matter how many times I need a fresh start, Your grace is always available. Renew my spirit and restore my passion for the work You have called me to do. Help me not to dwell on yesterday but to embrace the opportunities You have placed before me today.
