đ Scripture (KJV)
Proverbs 16:3âCommit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.â
Matthew 5:16âLet your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.â
Psalm 45:1âMy heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the kingâŚâ
âď¸ Devotional Thought
As writers, itâs easy to feel pressure.
Pressure to finish quickly.Pressure to be perfect.Pressure to sound impressive.Pressure to be seen, liked, or successful.
But God never called you to write under pressure.
He called you to write with purpose.
Proverbs reminds us that when we commit our work to the Lord, He establishes our thoughts. That means you donât have to strive to come up with the perfect words on your own â God will guide what you write when you place it in His hands.
Writing for God is not about performance.Itâs about obedience.
Itâs about allowing your words to become a light that points others back to Him.
Matthew 5:16 reminds us that our lives â and even our writing â should shine in a way that brings glory to God, not to ourselves.
When you release the pressure to be perfect, something beautiful happensâŚ
You begin to write freely. You begin to write honestly. You begin to write what God truly placed in your heart.
Psalm 45:1 paints such a beautiful picture â a heart overflowing with something good, ready to be written.
Thatâs what your writing should feel like.
Not forced.Not rushed.Not pressured.
But flowing from a heart connected to God.
So today, lay down the pressure.
You donât have to write it all today. You donât have to get every word perfect. You donât have to compare your journey to anyone else.
Just write with purpose.
Write what God gives you.Write what Heâs done in your life.Write what someone else needs to hear.
Because when your writing is rooted in Him, it will always reach the right hearts at the right time.
đż Wednesday Reflection
Am I writing to please people or to honor God?
What pressure do I need to release today?
What truth has God placed on my heart to share?
đ Prayer
Father,Thank You for the gift of writing and the purpose You have placed within me. Help me release any pressure to be perfect and instead focus on being faithful. Guide my thoughts, shape my words, and let everything I write bring glory to You. Use my writing to encourage, uplift, and speak truth into the lives of others. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
đ Wednesday Author Encouragement
Release the pressure.Embrace the purpose.Write from your heart with God leading the way.
Your words matter because He gave them to you. âď¸đâ¨
