Protect the Process

By Wednesday, the week gets loud.

Notifications.Responsibilities.Distractions.Doubts.

And suddenly the writing that felt important on Monday gets pushed to “later.”

But later is where unfinished books live.

Nehemiah understood something powerful — when you are building something for God, distractions will come.

When enemies tried to pull him away from rebuilding the wall, he responded:

“I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.”

Author… you are doing a great work.

Editing those pages?That’s a great work.Finishing that chapter?That’s a great work.Showing up when it’s hard?That’s a great work.

Protect the process.

You do not have to answer every distraction.You do not have to respond immediately to every noise.You do not have to abandon your calling for convenience.

Momentum builds when you guard your time.

Even one focused hour today moves you forward.

Steadfast.Unmoveable.Abounding.

Your writing deserves protection.

Lord,Help me protect the assignment You’ve given me. Give me discipline to guard my time and courage to say no to distractions. Strengthen my focus. Let me remain steadfast and faithful in the work You’ve placed in my hands.In Jesus’ name, Amen.
