Show Up Anyway
đ Scripture (KJV)
2 Timothy 2:15
âStudy to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamedâŚâ
Galatians 6:9
âAnd let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.â
âď¸ Devotional Thought
Every author loves the days when inspiration flows.
Ideas connect easily.Words come quickly.Pages fill with excitement.
But many days are quieter.
The ideas feel distant. The sentences take longer. The page seems stubborn and slow.
Those are the days when discipline matters most.
Writing is not only about inspiration â it is about showing up faithfully.
God honors consistency.
When you open your manuscript even when youâre tiredâŚWhen you edit even when it feels slowâŚWhen you write a few sentences instead of noneâŚ
You are planting seeds.
Galatians reminds us that the harvest comes if we do not give up.
Some of the most meaningful books were written through ordinary, quiet days of steady effort.
So today, donât wait for perfect inspiration.
Show up anyway.
Write something.Edit something.Move forward.
God can multiply even the smallest progress when it is offered faithfully.
đż Reflection
Am I waiting for inspiration instead of choosing discipline?
What small step can I take today in my writing journey?
How can I remain consistent this week?
đ Prayer
Father,Help me remain faithful in the calling to write. Give me discipline when inspiration feels quiet and strength to keep showing up. Use the words I write to encourage, teach, and bless those who read them.In Jesusâ name, Amen.
đ Author Encouragement
You donât have to write perfectly today.
Just show up.
Small faithful steps still move the story forward.
