❤️ BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS

Goodness in Action — Letting God's Love Shine Through Us

October Theme: The Fruit of the Spirit

📖 TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”1 John 3:18 (KJV)

☕ Good morning & Happy Saturday, Bible Study Family! 💜

God is so, so good!

Yesterday we studied GOODNESS — Doing Right When Nobody Is Watching.

Today we're taking that lesson one step further.

Because goodness isn't something we're meant to keep hidden in our hearts.

It's something that should become visible through the way we live.

Have you ever been having a difficult day when someone did something unexpectedly kind?

Maybe someone helped you when you were overwhelmed.

Maybe they brought you a meal.

Offered to pray with you.

Sent an encouraging message.

Or simply took a few minutes to listen when you needed someone.

Friend, those little moments can make a tremendous difference.

And sometimes, without even realizing it, we become the answer to someone else's prayer.

❤️ LOVE IS MORE THAN SOMETHING WE SAY.

🌿 IT'S SOMETHING WE DO.

🌻 JESUS SHOWED US HOW TO SERVE

Throughout His ministry, Jesus didn't simply tell people that God loved them.

He demonstrated compassion.

He fed the hungry.

He welcomed those others overlooked.

He comforted the hurting.

He took time for people who needed Him.

And in John 13, Jesus even washed His disciples' feet.

Think about that!

The Son of God humbled Himself to serve others.

Jesus said in Mark 10:45 (KJV):

“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

If Jesus was willing to serve, shouldn't we also look for opportunities to serve others?

Serving doesn't make us less important. It helps us become more like Christ.

💜 YOU DON'T NEED A TITLE TO HAVE A MINISTRY

Sometimes people think ministry only happens inside a church.

But friend, ministry can happen anywhere.

At the grocery store.

In your neighborhood.

At work.

At home.

While visiting someone who is sick.

Or while helping someone who simply needs a friend.

You don't have to be a pastor, teacher, or missionary to make a difference.

You don't need a large audience.

And you certainly don't need a lot of money.

Sometimes all you need is a willing heart.

God can use ordinary people doing ordinary things to demonstrate extraordinary love.

🌿 GOODNESS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GRAND

Matthew 25:40 (KJV) says:

“…Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Think about the opportunities we have every day.

❤️ Calling someone who lives alone.

🌻 Helping a neighbor.

🙏 Praying with someone who's discouraged.

🍲 Sharing a meal with a family going through a difficult time.

💜 Offering encouragement to someone who feels forgotten.

🛍️ Helping someone carry their groceries.

📖 Sharing a Scripture with someone who needs hope.

And sometimes goodness means simply sitting quietly with someone who's grieving.

We don't always need the perfect words.

Sometimes our presence says more than anything we could speak.

Small acts of love matter because people matter to God.

❤️ SERVE WITHOUT EXPECTING SOMETHING IN RETURN

Here's something worth remembering.

True goodness isn't about being noticed.

It's not about receiving applause.

It's not about posting every kind thing we do so everyone knows how generous we've been.

Sometimes the most beautiful acts of service happen when nobody else knows about them.

Galatians 6:10 (KJV) says:

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

We are called to do good as opportunities arise.

Not because we are trying to earn God's love.

But because we have already received His love through Jesus Christ.

We don't serve to earn salvation. We serve because our Savior has shown us what love looks like.

🙏 TODAY'S PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another beautiful Saturday.

Lord, open my eyes to the needs of those around me.

Help me recognize opportunities to show kindness, compassion, and love.

Forgive me for the times I've been too busy, distracted, or focused on my own problems to notice someone else's struggles.

Give me a servant's heart like Jesus.

Help me encourage the discouraged, comfort the hurting, and offer help where I can.

Teach me to serve without expecting recognition or reward.

And Lord, let my actions reflect Your goodness so others may see Your love through me.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen. 💜

🌻 TODAY'S GOODNESS CHALLENGE

Today, choose one intentional act of service.

❤️ NOTICE A NEED.Look for someone who could use encouragement, practical help, or a listening ear.

🌿 TAKE ACTION.Do something within your ability to help.

🙏 GIVE GOD THE GLORY.Serve with humility and without expecting anything in return.

Then pray:

“Lord, use my hands, my feet, and my heart to show someone Your love today.”

💬 QUESTION FOR OUR BIBLE STUDY FAMILY:

What is one simple act of kindness someone has done for you that you'll never forget?

Share it in the comments! Your story might inspire someone else to show the love of Jesus today. 💜

🌷 TODAY'S REMINDER

Friend, you may never know how much your kindness means to someone.

The person you encourage today may be struggling more than you realize.

The neighbor you help may have been praying for someone to notice.

The grieving friend you sit beside may simply need to know they aren't alone.

And the smallest act of love may open the door for someone to experience the compassion of Christ.

We cannot solve every problem.

We cannot meet every need.

And we must remember to serve with wisdom and healthy boundaries.

But we can all do something.

❤️ BE THE HANDS THAT HELP.

🌿 BE THE FEET THAT GO.

💜 BE THE HEART THAT CARES.

And above all—

✝️ LET JESUS BE SEEN IN YOU.

Have a beautifully blessed Saturday, Bible Study Family! 💜
